Last few months

just to have a check on myself for the past few months...
well to start off, There's been lots of changes to myself for the last few months

First, I become a football fan....Well not actually really following all the clubs and stuff...
I still can't get it??? how can I grow to love a game where all that you watch was a ball that moves across the field from left to right and vice versa....
seems stupid for me in the past...
but last june I stayed up during all the night where I would watch Euro Cup at 3am in the morning...
well something to start wif....

second, I have become more health conscious lately... Eating less fat and controlling my lust for food that last time I can't control...
Maybe its because everyone beens saying that I was fat and stuff like that...
SO for the very first time I went to gym twice or trice a week and really work up my as*
Well I have kinda slimed down from size 33 to 30 or 29...
so you'll understand what I have gone through for the past few months...

thirdly, I have pick up books and magazines to read on finance which I find very intriguing....
I have learned a lot of stuff about the financial market, and free market...
its fascinating actually...

fourthly, I have learn to host strangers in my house...
Well I have hosted 6 people in the period of  5 weeks...
Its really intriguing and nerve  wrecking for the first few time but it became kinda dull after that having bringing people to the same all place every week but of course different people....
plus the sudden oil price hike in june was really tough...
I had my fair deal of fun....
Well I had learned to overcome my "Asianness" You know kinda feeling where we feel that we are the least inferior race in the world compared to westerners and stuff like that...
It definitely had open up my eyes to accept that everyone is special and no matter who we are there is still some common things that we all do...
Its just that we did it in a different way....
but still same purpose....

fifth, I'm still kinda shock that now I'm a Yellow Army Advisor which comes with a monthly RM400 salary... The money was a point of attraction but still, I think that I wasn't really looking up to the money but achieving something big rite now...
For Ur info, I'm kinda a control freak who like to be the headline and trendsetter.....
for the past two years in Uni, I was just someone wif nothing...
Its really killing me deep inside....
I'm kinda the type who's always on the run....

well thats it for the time...
toomuch of revealing myself to the open world...
by the way, most people always think that I'm kinda a homo or what ever you call it coz I dun seems to show any interest in any girls....
Well I may hav look lik that in the outside but I'm kinda the type who keeps everything to myself....
SO I won't even tell anyone if I had a crush...

And I may not swear or use foul languages....
But it doesn't mean I don't understand foul languages...
Its just that I'm kinda the type who knows it but never use it...
Its a choice of lifestyle....
Its kinda religious stuff that I intend to keep

thanks for reading bout me..
do drop me a line...

Gawai

Gawai is one of the biggest event evry year in sarawak. For me it is the one of the big three event each year. Besides Chinese New Year and Christmas, I like to enjoy Gawai. Well here in sarawak, the races are rather balance with majority dayak then followed by chinese and Malays.
Normally I will go visit my friends during gawai. There are many food like tradisional chicken in bamboo, lemang using the hill paddy, tuak and others. but lately there isn't much of those tradisional food prepared as it takes time to prepare and youngsters normally go back to their kampung on the nite of gawai after celebrating at their home in the city during the first day with friends and collegues and relatives. It used to be an "octoberfest" version of sarawak. where everyone will drinks tuak from one house to another until finish visiting all the houses in the village. The "Tuak" is rice wine where they will make it using their family recipe. Some are sweet as it is made using sugarcane. A good tuak is one that is crystal clear with white yellowish colour. Some of it is very hot as many gingers are used to make it too. But I never tried one using pepper. Should be nice considering the famous sarawak pepper.
Every Gawai used to be the most happy moments where the pigs rared will be killed for night barbeque. mostly baby pigs are used. very juicy depending on the fatness of the piglet. the skin is cryspy like the barbeque pork found in shops. The piglet will also be used to cook traditional cook. The pork leg is delicious when cook with black pepper. really delicious.
Besides that, what makes this festival fun is the nature of the villages as it is located far from the hussle and bustle of city live. The kampung chicken and its chicks are free to roam everywhere, the cat of the house as well as the dog. that is the benefit of rural life vs city life.
Besides that, the youngsters will be opening illegal gambling "hollocim" the game consist of images of animals like crab, chicken, and others. I can't really recall because I'm not interested with it.
In addition, there will  be a ceremony to offer sacrifices to the God of rice or sth else. The witch doctors will dress in their traditional clothes and start dancing the ghost possesing dance. Imagine watching old lady dancing like a young 18 year girl at dicso. making circles around the offering place. Offering include chicken, rice, some unidentified herbs and others that I'm so sure of. But these days there is no longer any of such offering as the witch doctors died and younger generations are mostly christians who do not pratice the culture of pagans. SO very difficult to find such occasions.
At night there will be a karaoke with youths dancing and singing all night. its like a mini disco. One more thing about gawai that I can remember is that there is a community hall where their forefathers whom were head hunters will hung their
Too bad I accidentally erased all the pictures that I took during my trip to kampung Opah in Bau area. Last time, the whole kuching will be heading to this village during gawai time as they celebrate about a week or two after the official 1st june date. Hundreds of car will be queuing to go in the kampung. about an hour queue just to get in and out from the bridge at the entrance of the village. those are the days that I missed most. thats why I woul fork out extra RM313 for my air ticket  to get back early to celebrate it. Its like chinese celebrating chinese new year. Well, I learnt my lesson form previous gawai by not drinking too many until I was drunk and my whole body itch the next few days with terrible headache. Just one more tip, don't walk near a drunk man as that is the norm here where fight starts in the kampung. Normally a drunk person will not admit and will say silly things and look very blur or keep on laughing to themselves with no reason when they are high. These are the signs to look up for if a person is drunk. Welcome to alcoholic gawai sarawak a place to forget all the problems and troubles that one is facing in reality.
happy GAWAI GURU GERAI NYAMAI

Life in KL

July 10 &11

A brand new day in KL. Unbelieveable, first time woke up at 10am. normally at 7 or 8am. After the nite party feel very tired. Decided to go to bukit bintang to shop. However, unexpectedly, we walk towards times square. Wow, my leg is killing me. times square is so big. walk from one end to the other end. kinda wondering at which floor I was at. Stuff was expensive so didn't buy anything except for drinks. Had a look at the games there but decided not to play coz after that if get headache means end of the journey 4 d day.

BUT NEXT time I will surely play! REMEMber to give me  a call when going to there. Anywhere still feel very tired after the party the nite  before.

Next stop is sungei wang. hope I spell it correctly. I can walk much. there are just too many things to see and choose. BUT now I want a sleep. So had to end the journey meanwhile my friend was busy looking for the badge that his friend  ask him to buy. After walking for quite some time  still can't find the damn shop. We'll come back again to look 4 it.

Headed home for a nice barbeque that my aunt and uncle was preparing. quite easy. using the gas to heat many volcano stone that cooks the food. Quite delicious although din   marinate or have to wait 4 long time. The sausage was pure sausage not those normal sausage that we eat. The burger meat was real beef meat. Kinda like the western food. oh ya we had a barbeque corn as well. first time eating coz the last round the corn turn so black that I decided not to eat.

next day went to KLCC. Queue up for a long queue just to get a pair of ticket to get to the bridge of twin tower. Bout 2 hours I guess. All around are foreigner. feel like I'm from somewhere else

had my brunch at KFC coz cheaper than eating at shops. We had a tour round the KLCC. stuff was expensive as well. The trip to the bridge was kinda worth it coz can see everything from the top. feel not satisfied yet. One day I would like to go to the top of if. Day dream. who am I????

Then went to aquaria n sungei wang. This time around bought a lot of stuff. manage to find some clothes at affordable price. Next stop is at the well known PETALING STREET. We use a LRT from the ampang point to pasar seni. My my first time going in a LRT. Not many people as most hav just finished their work. Had a dinner there. The market was big. quite long walk. just like sunday market. many stuffs are up for sale. Had my first try on buying an Indian style shirt. I always wanted one of those. I bought it for RM 25. Guess what??

A few stall down sell it for RM20 as a begining. There it goes. Being cheated like most tourist. but they are better at bargaining. Had another try at buying a jacket. this time I'm not as gullible as before. set my price. If I don't get what I want, just walk away and they will start to plead you.

Suprising that those who sell are foreign workers but ofcourse local owner.  Kinda short trip coz most stall are packing as they hear breaking telecast news from their accomplice in the civil service that there may be some check up.

continue to read my blog for news during my orientation.
